At The End of The Day

Thank you for standing in the gap for us! I wish I could report that we raised the funds we need...but the truth is, we lost money. Sometimes that happens when you have to make a financial investment in the fundraiser.

Maybe we chose the wrong avenue, the wrong product, the wrong time. We could second guess ourselves all day long, but isn't that what we do when we place our faith in ourselves and other people?!? Don't mistake this loss for God not showing up. He was there! We had the opportunity to plant seeds of adoption, share our faith and spend time working hard as a family. And we still have beautiful mums for this weekend's festival :)

Please don't feel sorry for us! We are not hanging our heads or crying in our cereal this morning. We are praising God for the funds He brought and the ways He is going to provide for this journey to Joy. Our faith is in Him, and though we don't know what His plans are, we are certain they are spectacular! Will you praise Him with us!!!

However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"...
1 Cor 2:9

Doing the Praise God Happy Dance with you through this your journey!!!

He didn't bring us this far to leave us
He didn't teach us to swim to let us drown
He didn't build His home in us to move away
He didn't lift us up to let us down

Connie, I am sorry this weekend didn't turn out well. With each moment of discouragement our faith deepens. This is our first time fundraising for adoption and I am finding out how discouraging it can be but then something happens and you can see Jesus all over it. He will bring you the funds and it will be such a testiment to His faithfulness to his children.

We had the same experience with 2 of our yardsales...but we have been to China and are back...we loaned $$ from my parents at a very good rate...
God WILL provide, just keep your eyes open.

Oh friend, I wish it didn't have to be that way. I wish that God didn't allow us to go through the valley--the times of NOT understanding what in the world He is doing. But I do know that He not abandoned you and WILL take care of your every need as you journey to your sweetie. I KNOW the funds will come in---just because He is so amazing at providing for adoption.
