Woe to me I am unclean A sinner found in Your presence I see you seated on Your throne Exalted, Your Glory surrounds You
Pre-chorus Now the plans that I have made Fail to compare when I see your glory
Chorus Ruin my life the plans I have made Ruin desires for my own selfish gain Destroy the idols that have taken Your place 'Till its You alone I live for, You alone I live for. (repeat)
Bridge Holy Holy is the Lord Almighty Holy is the Lord!
It's mid November, in case you're like me and have been too busy to stop and look at the calendar!
Our fall schedule has revolved around football, medical appointments, loads of homework, trying new soup recipes, attempting to keep the structure that wards off chaos, and looking for any opportunity to make everything fun.
I snagged a few of my favorite pix from my phone, and I wish they were all perfectly focused...but I usually have 1.2 nanoseconds to get the shot, good or not. Nonetheless, they are great memories!
Biggest sister Kenzie with littlest sister Khloie
Playoffs, Kolton Tee's last football game.
The Fan Klub!
What to do when Mom forgets the sticks for caramel apples? Easy peasy, use chopsticks!
I love it when the kids get off the bus and say, "Ohhhh, Mom's making candles!"
Daddy makes everything fun, even Kasidi's physical therapy!
We have 3 more kiddos who can now see the chalkboard, thanks to glasses!
We rock early morning doctor appointments!
Sunday Kenzie sang a song that touched my heart so! God has truly gifted her! Shhh, don't tell her I posted it ~ (it's blurry for a few seconds in the beginning, probably my camera focusing with all the kiddos hanging on my arms)
Have you ever listened, I mean really listened, to the lyrics of Dara MacLean's song, Wanted? It brought me to tears the first time I heard it, and it still has the same effect on me. It speaks of the Father's love for each of us, but it is a crucial message to those very dear to my heart, those who struggle with the lies, loneliness and trauma of their past ~ the orphan.
From the day you were born And took your first breath You opened your eyes and in came the light He was watching you But all of your life you couldn't shake the lies in your head Saying you're a mistake Oh but you were made By a God who knows your name He doesn't make mistakes
CHORUS You are wanted To every broken heart, He stands with open arms You are wanted To every searching soul, look to the rising sun If you're lonely, hurting, gone too far To the outcast you come as you are For you, you are wanted, you, you are wanted You, you are wanted, you, you are wanted
Let this be the day that joy takes the place Of all of the years that shame tried to steal away He is calling you Lift your eyes to see His face Come run into the arms of grace
CHORUS
You, you have been marked You're set apart And He calls you His So you don't have to search Don't have to look for where you belong
This week Kasidi's therapist recommended we get back into the latest AFOs for ankle and arch support. She's gotten so much stronger ~ she can lift the huge ortho shoes!
Disclaimer: I'm very brave for posting this, but lest you think I've got it all together...nay nay. This little video clip is a glimpse into a typical evening for us. And the sideways portion, well, that's just the way we roll. One of my most adorable Treasures grabbed my phone and started recording as I was imitating another most adorable Treasure...and so it goes. If we can't laugh at ourselves...well, sometimes ya' just have to laugh.
I just have to share this video with you! If you haven't already seen it, it's well worth the six minutes. If you have already seen it, it's worth watching again :)
Some very special friends asked us to share our adoption testimony on video. Since I can't sing, I can't dance, and I can't talk about adoption without bawling like a baby, this is the best I could do.
You've seen the pix and heard the music, but I've added text.
