Don't Make Me Come Back There!

After six months...
two sets of document production...
60 days with the Taxpayer Advocacy Service...
our Adoption Tax Refund landed in our account yesterday!!!
We are stoked!
Because sometime this week this new.to.us Big Mamavan will be sitting in our driveway. (She'll never look this clean again). Thanks, Ralph, for finding her for us!
All she needs is a stompin' adoption decal, maybe a personalized license plate, and six car seats :)
We've checked ~ she will hold six car seats, three teenagers, one college kid when he comes for a visit, and a mama and daddy seated comfortably at the head of the khaos. (we checked into the cargo variety with the cage in the back, but...)

She gives a whole new meaning to my rear view mirror rant, "Don't make me come back there!"

On a slightly more serious note, when we accepted the Lord's invitation to journey with Him down the adoption path again last August, we knew our vehicle was too small. Much too small. It didn't keep us from moving forward, but we were concerned about how we would haul this Krew from one place to another. So we asked the Lord to provide a way, without debt, please.

In January we heard rumblings of the adoption.tax.credit.now.turned.refund.for.tax.years.2010.and.2011. But we didn't think we'd qualify...until we spoke to our accountant! As soon as the IRS released the form in February we filed and expected a refund big enough to answer our prayers! Like 90% of other adoptive parents, we've had the privilege of being audited, staying on hold and waiting. But we are waiting no more, and our prayer of a year ago has been answered!

THANK YOU, JESUS!

Oh Connie, I am so excited for you!!! Please please take pictures of all the children in the car for us all to see!!!

Your story gives me hope that our adoption tax credit will arrive eventually. We sent in the required receipts etc after the 'letter' arrived. We are hoping to hear something next month and hope that something is not to resend everything!

Well we are stepping out in faith towards our next adoption just like you advised instead of waiting for the money to come. We are fundraising and giving away and ipad2 on our blog. Trusting the Lord that He will provide!

She's a beautiful beast, Connie!

I have a million jokes I could tell right now but I'll save them for one text at a time. LOL

Your new ocean liner will bring many fun memories!

Oh and I'm sooooo glad your tax refund landed! We found out that we were approved for all but $1,200 of ours! I submitted the proof they needed for the remaining amount the other day... so we should get it ALL back *SOON*. And by soon, I mean...hopefully before I go Christmas shopping. LOL

Congratulations!! Funny, we got audited, too. Still waiting because they audited us on both the adoption tax credit and the lifetime learning credit. They want "official" transcripts, UGH!

ENJOY YOUR NEW WHEELS!

Praising the Lord with you! I promise (as one "Bus"/Van driving mama) you will love your new wheels...not because it is "styling", but ...because the kids can spread out a little bit more (yes even with a full load). Is it 12 or 15 passenger? Ours is 12 and I am wishing to fill it up...Congrats! on your new car...it looks fantastic!
Love you guys!

She's beautiful...just like ours!! :) And ours continues to get compliments on it's rockin' adoption logo....and I always get to tell people we got it from a certain family who were selling them to raise $$ to bring more of His children. It's a good story to share :) ALL the pre-teeny friends think it's the coolest vehicle around as they get invited over MORE now that we can haul extras!

So glad your refund finally came!! Wishing ours would so I could STOP worrying that we're going to end up with a nasty unwarrented bill we will have to fight. Let's just move on!!

Have a GREAT time that first ride where you load them all up!!! Blessings, Jennifer
