He is Home

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father ... Matthew 13:43
Four and a half years after being diagnosed with malignant melanoma, nearly two months after receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and one week after his 62nd birthday, my dad is free of pain and suffering. He has gone to be with the Lord today. We have been given the blessing of time over the past six months my dad has been bed-ridden following his brain injury. My brothers and I have had many moments with Dad, and he even got to meet his newest grandson. Our prayer was that God would give him breath until he accepted Jesus, and that was answered. Even in the peace and rejoicing, there is pain in the loss. It seems strange that I am blogging about this, but so many of you have been hugging us, praying for us and loving us, and I owe you a huge thank you. Our friends, family, adoption family and church family have given so much comfort, and we thank you! May you have a joyous and safe Independence Day. I know I am looking forward to the same Independence Day my dad is now experiencing!!!

Connie,
I had this overwhelming feeling that if I went on you blog today I would see that your dad had gone home. I lost both my parents many years ago and I know it isn't an easy time. You and your family are in my prayers my friend. You know where I am if you need anything at all.
Love,
Elaine

I know the joy and the pain as well. I have lost both my parents as well. This phase of life is difficult.

I'm thankful he's seeing Jesus face to face!

I've been praying, Connie and thinking of your family since Tuesday. I'm sorry for the loss of your dear Dad. It's so very hard for those of us left behind.
It's so good that we can take comfort in the knowledge that your Dad is with the Lord and meeting my Dad! We will be together again someday for eternity!! Hold on to Jesus and when the hard times of missing your Dad hit, just say the name of Jesus.

I'm so sorry for your loss on this Earth, but I can't help but marvel at how great your Heavenly Father is that He allowed you to witness your dad's acceptance of His Son. May He wrap you in the same arms He welcomes your father with!!! You are in my prayers as is your family! I love you all!!!

Connie and family,
Once again God has shown His compassion and love for us in that He gave enough time for your father to be saved and to meet the newest member of your family.
I pray that the sorrow is quickly overtaken by the joy of knowing you WILL one day be re-united as a family and will together sing the praises of our Heavenly Father!
