Four Years Ago Today...

...I was a Mommy forever changed when you were placed in my arms, Kayden Faith!Even though God had been growing you in my heart for many months, I didn't expect to fall head over heels in love with you in a very warm upper room of the Civil Affairs Office in Nanning, China the afternoon of September 22, 2004.
This was our first glimpse of you just weeks before meeting.
One year later, still as cute as ever. Celebrating our 2nd Lunar New Year as a Forever Family.
Once a Princess, always a princess.
There's that precious smile!
Kayden, you have changed me in ways I never would have imagined. You've shown me how to stop and smell the roses, laugh until I cry, take 'drama' to a new level, share Jesus without fear and love uninhibited. Thank you for the joy you are and the pleasure of being your Mommy. In the words of our favorite bedtime story: "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

Happy FFD! I know that Kayden's adoption story(you were the guest family at our Dillon workshop) solidified our decision to adopt. What an amazing testimony that her life is to so many!!

There'll always be an incredibly special bond with your family as we "gave birth" together in that little room. God is so amazing as he has knit our babies' hearts together with our own in a way that only He could do!! I love you, Chunky Monkey!!!! And Jia loves her "Chinese Kayden!" And I love you, Connie, and the rest of your family!!!
