I often ask myself if my attitude is reflective of an underlying joy in Christ, or is it more representative of my current circumstances? The Bible instructs us to be joyful in all things. True joy doesn't waver when bad things happen, because joy is not a feeling. James tells us to even consider it pure joy when we face trials. Being the human that I am, I struggle with this often. Oh, I want to be that person who keeps the perspective that our struggles here are momentary and are for the good, pleasing and perfect will of the Father; they are dealt out so that we would grow in faith, minister to others and glorify God with our response. Lord, help me to be that person.

Wonderful post, Connie. Seems that 2008 was a year of many trials and a positive attitude with joy, truly makes or breaks the outcome of these trials.
ReplyDeleteI'm working so hard on handing it all over to the Lord sooner, rather than later!
