A week and a half ago, Miss Joy had a scheduled sedated MRI. We thought it would be routine. As soon as we got out of recovery, we were wheeled up to our scheduled appointment with our neurosurgeon. After review of the MRI, Dr M was concerned about Kasidi's increased spasticity, despite regular botox injections.
He recommended we address the tether in Kasidi's thoracic spine, as well as a cyst in the same region.
Two years ago Dr M performed a lamenectomy on Kasidi's lumbar spine, and we saw major improvement. It was after that surgery that she began to walk independently!
Even in the fear of the unknowns to this Mama, I acknowledge that we serve a mighty God who knit my daughter together in her mother's womb and has loved her since the beginning of time, and He will bring her through this beyond our expectations. No doubt, He has a plan for our courageous Miss Joy!
TO HIM BE GLORY!
Praying for your sweet baby!
