Why Can't I...

...get anything done?
It doesn't matter how early I rise, it seems I don't finish all the things I should.  And then I am reminded of the work in progress...
Two Littles...

Five Middles...

And three Teens...
...one of which is a senior this year, but these are the things of which we do not speak!

I fall short every single day, but with the Lord's constant help, surely I will finish well *only because of HIM*.

  1. There is another myth out there:

Once your kids grow up and leave the nest, you're 'freed' from taking 'care' of them. True, I don't take care of my 4 oldest who've grown...but there is seemingly always something with one of them that is in need of something. Whether it be a 7th depl*yment or the missionary daughter who hasn't had power for days or the one whose job is causing grief...or the one who 'lost' the baby they were heading to adopt...or the one whose father-in-law just died...

I will only run out of things on my never-ending-and-always-adding-to-it 'to do' list, when I reach heaven.

Keep up the good fight. You are a beautiful woman of God and the treasures you have gathered are a testimony to your obedience to His priorities.

    Honored to call you friend!

  2. Linny, you are precious! And I am one of a multitude who is inspired by YOU, because of your obedience. You travel the journey well, Sister! And it is because you chase hard after the Father! I know this 'job' will never end on this Earth (and I'm grateful for that!). Thank you for encouraging me. When I grow up I wanna be just like you ;-)
