Getting to Know You ~ Kasidi

We visited the mausoleum today. It was a beautiful day and an awesome opportunity to snuggle Kasidi in the Ergo.
We climbed all those steps, oh yes, we did. Even though I look like I'm pregnant.
She napped the entire tour, except for a quick sip.
Kenzie is a star. One of her photo ops.
Mama doesn't mind your slobber one bit!

We have one little problem. For the first time, she screamed when I tried to put her in the crib for a nap. I lose these battles every.time. She is now napping in the Ergo as I type...and sweat. I don't know what we'll do about bedtime tonight. I really don't. Help?

  1. LOL, I'm no help in that department! I lose those battles too. So precious.

  2. Co-sleeping is good for bonding :) I used to do that for survival, & then my husband came across some research about co-sleeping that showed it to be a good thing, especially for our adopted babies...I ran with it & never looked back! Hope you have a good night of sleep. :o)

  3. Hello my China buddies!! :) Hope sleeping went well! Emily is not sleeping the best the last couple of days.... I think its pure exhaustion! Almost put her in bed with us after getting up 3 times to play with her laptop! :) :) I love the pictures, and Kenzie my minty mentos... I always knew you were a star!! Glad to hear about kennah saying Mama ~ oh my goodness be still my heart!

  4. Smiles from both girls AND a "mama." Priceless! I have no good advice. You're the most experienced Mama I know. You are all looking wonderful and we are so enjoying every word and picture. Prayers continue!

  5. You don't need to find the local gym to workout!

I think that if the both of you can sleep okay together, then I would just do that to get through the time in China and then work on her staying in her own bed/crib at home. It's stressful enough for the both of you right now, so however you can get sleep is the most important. Plus it's good for bonding.

  6. I have that exact same Ergo! Love it. Sounds like you might be in for a sweaty, snuggly nights sleep too :)

  8. Ummm, slight addition to your dilema... Kinley likes to snuggle up in bed too, haha! Is your bed at home a King size?
The kiddos are doing great!... a certain little Miss has all the men folk (and I do mean ALL) in this house wrapped around her little finger, with a certain slightly bigger Miss coming in a close second.

  9. I'm all for bringing them into bed with you, at least until they get feeling more secure. I know you have great mother instincts and will do what makes her feel the most comfortable and safe.

(I have the same Ergo too- we are so trendy!!)

How nice that you have these posts to record their first days with you!!

  10. Ummm....well....as for help...I'm probably NO help either. I kinda do a bit of both....snuggle with them and also in their beds when possible. They are both so adorable, Connie!!

And you had your own personal stairmaster workout right there in China. OIY do I remember those mausoleum steps!! ;)
