But the biggest surprise was a beautiful note of encouragement and a $56 check for our adoption fund. There is a precious family we finally got to meet in Nanjing last October, and they had a 'small yard sale' last weekend and sent the proceeds to us! Totally unexpected, totally generous, totally God! That is seed! Keith and Dorothy, you have sown seed, and the Father will produce abundant growth. Just as He did with the check that our friends Rob and Laine sent a few weeks ago...and the contributions of so many to our fundraisers, linking to us, posting about us... God is good, isn't He!
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
2 Cor 9:11
I'm currently working on yet another fundraiser that ya'll will love! I'll let you know when it's a go!
And just because ya'll have been so very generous in prayer, encouragement and giving, I want to do a little giveaway just for fun. I'm thinking about a couple of books but haven't decided which ones yet. The only stipulation to getting into the drawing is to be a Follower on my blog. That's it! In the next week or so I will decide which books I'd love to share with you. So come on and Follow us today!
Exciting news!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear more about your next fundraiser & giveaway!
Fun times!
God is sooo good!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I can't believe I was never a "follower" Wow I need to get my act together! Love y'all!
This is so much fun with you Connie!! I feel like we're running in this neck and neck race, but the great part is....we BOTH win with sweet ones named Kasidi Joy and Kaleb Alan! WOOHOO!! And to think that sweetie pie of yours is being loved on by the same people who loved on Kaylin....how cool is that?
ReplyDeleteYAY on the additional hearts giving to bring Kasidi home and on the email confirmation!
Just started following your blog. What a beautiful family you have. We are in the process of fundraising for our first adoption. Scary but I know God will provide. We are going to start selling some jewlery from Uganda next week but I was curious what you found to be the most affective fundraiser? Thanks I would love any advice considering you have obviously had many succesfull adoptions! growingwithjoy.blogspot.com
