The Scoop ~ Praise Him!

I shared yesterday that God had answered two huge requests...and then you wanted details ;-) So here's the scoop.

We had been waiting on an answer from C*S as to whether they would declare Kuyler an adult child living in or out of our home. We had determined from the beginning that he lives OUT of our home because he is a 22-year-old senior at The University, living in a house with four other guys he's leased for over a year now.

Our previous three adoption processes we've declared him as a child over 18 living IN the home since he lived on campus and came home for weekends and breaks. To C*S that means he needs background checks and fingerprinting. We were confident this process would be different, but our agency wanted to be certain. So as we waited for an answer from C*S we knew if they ruled he lives in our home, we'd need to wait for his checks to be completed, a revision to our new home study, more time and more dollars. Early in the day they ruled in our favor!

So that meant our home study was completed by our social worker and approved by our placing agency...but then we were reminded of a $500 fee required to be paid before our study would be released. Bottom line ~ we didn't have it. We hung up the phone, asked others to stand in the gap for us that God would provide it...and within minutes received a call that the fee had been waived! Not reduced; not deferred, but waived! God's provision!

The next praise is that every mum we sell now is profit! Yep, we are in the black on the fundraiser, thanks to local friends buying mums. This afternoon we will set up for our next and hopefully last Festival. Thank you for praying for us. To God be the gory!!!!

The coolness factor is that my front porch is a giant chia!
